At the intersection of deep technical expertise and practical business solutions, we craft software that stands the test of time. Whether you're wrestling with a legacy codebase that needs a careful hand or embarking on a greenfield project that demands innovative thinking, we architect solutions that grow with your business. Our specialisation in functional programming isn't just about technical elegance – it translates to more reliable, maintainable systems that reduce long-term costs and technical debt. From seamless API integrations to complete system overhauls, we pride ourselves on delivering solutions that are as robust as they are practical.
We operate with the agility of a small team while delivering results that exceed enterprise expectations. Our hands-on approach means you'll always work directly with the people writing your code, ensuring clear communication and swift decision-making throughout your project's lifecycle. Unlike larger consultancies, we offer the unique advantage of consistent, senior-level attention to every aspect of your project, from initial architecture to final deployment.
With 20 years of experience in IT (and 15 of those in software), Chris has worked for private individuals, SMEs, large companies as well as public sector clients. Chris started consulting in the IT sector in 2012, shifting his focus entirely to software in 2017. He has a Computer Science bachelor from the University of Auckland, which is also where he grew up; though now he lives in Tauranga.
Chris has deep experience with Node.js and JavaScript, but as a functional programming devotee, his heart belongs to Elixir. What sets him apart as a developer and consultant is his ability to distill technical concepts into approachable language so that every one can get on the same page. Alongside consulting, this year Chris decided to pursue developing his own products, starting with an asset management app for households and small businesses.
Outside of work Chris likes DIY 🔨, zero-waste living ♻️ , and making good coffee ☕.
Originally from Luxembourg but living in New Zealand since 2019, Kevin has a Master's of Software Development from Victoria University of Wellington as well as two years of professional software development experience. Before diving into development, Kevin studied philosophy at the University of Luxembourg, where he obtained both a bachelor and a master's degree.
Though experience with modern PHP has made Kevin a fervent PHP apologist, when given the choice he would not hesitate a second to cage the elephant to reach for the elixir that is Elixir (we're both massive Elixir fans here). Beyond pure development chops, Kevin brings two key skills to the table: strong analysis and a jazz mindset, allowing him to think outside the box and always remain reactive and responsive to changing circumstances and expectations.
When he's away from his desk, Kevin loves to play chord melody guitar arrangements of pop songs 🎸, bake bread 🍞, and do animal locomotion exercises 💪.
